9 mindsets that will turn you from a follower into a leader

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — Ralph W Emerson
Everything we need is already with us we just need to unlock that potential and fulfil who we can be. The question is how do we do that? The simple answer is to develop the right mindset to continue to grow.
Here are 9 mindsets that will turn you from a follower to a leader.
It all starts in the mind.
The only real control you have over is your mind. You can work to affect the world around you, but that strategy can have varying results. By learning to master the mind, you’ll master your life and realize a power far greater than anything outside yourself.
2. Time is precious.
Our time is finite. However, most of us live contradictory to that; we waste years at jobs we hate. Stay with people we’re not entirely happy with and tolerate situations that don’t make us feel fulfilled. Remind yourself that time is a precious resource. Use that time wisely.
3. Be present.
The ability to quietly be with yourself and be aware of what is occurring around you is a skill you have to work hard on. It will improve the quality of your mind. To be in the moment is a powerful experience full of benefits. Please take advantage of it.
4. Be grateful.
The benefits of gratitude are backed by science; it improves your well-being. Gratitude shifts the mind from “I need” “I don’t have enough of” To “I’m so happy,” “I have enough.” The effort to change this mindset is minimal, but the difference is monumental.
5. Remember your why.
When you’re working towards a big goal, figuring out your “why” Is one of the most important mindset shifts you need. If you are struggling right now, lost your way, or just starting, this is the place to begin.
6. Make failure a positive.
It’s natural to see failure as a negative; after all, you did something, and it wasn’t successful. However, you should see each failure as a valuable opportunity for personal growth. A chance to grow that will inevitably lead to success.

7. Happiness is not in the material.
We all know that idea that material goods will make us happy over the long term is not true. It was a lie sold to us that even today, most still think material goods are the ultimate sign of success; they are not Freedom is a success, not stuff.
8. Learn-Study — Practice — Teach.
It is easy to consume large quantities of information and obtain knowledge. However, there’s very little connection between gathering knowledge and actual achievement. You need to make an effort to apply what you learn actively. As you apply this principle over time, it will become a part of you. Study the information put it into practice, and teach others around you through your example of creating success in your life.
9. Protect your time.
Leaders tend to be great at prioritizing what is most important to them. Reflect on what you spend your time doing and make the necessary changes to realize the life of your dreams.
Correct and improving your mindset will bring about great results over time. Do not see it as an overnight success story as that just won’t happen.
